The Myra team attended the SETT Centre Conference on 14th October at St Mary’s Stadium, Southampton, to share how digital innovation can empower independence and improve care for older adults.
Our Clinical Research Lead Clare and Dr Stephen Lim delivered a talk titled “Empowering Independence Through Digital Innovation”, highlighting how Myra is helping older adults return home safely after hospital stays, while supporting carers and community organisations along the way.
The presentation explored ongoing research to determine the feasibility and acceptability of Myra in helping older adults transition from hospital to home. Key objectives include:
Assessing how well Myra supports older adults discharged from hospital
Evaluating how hospital staff and carers engage with the app
Identifying opportunities to improve care coordination and communication
Informing the design of a future implementation study
Myra is already showing strong potential to accelerate hospital discharge, reduce healthcare costs, and improve patient wellbeing.
